to answer the thread's question, I think swords are weak!!!! ~.~

No offense intended but most of your damage doesn't come from you, but from Judge's Insight. As mentioned above, an axe warrior/smiter would do even more damage. Swords can be good, but axes are simply better damage-wise.

Hmm.... well yea, that damage is actually doubled and all that.... so maybe swords aren't bad vs. Undead, with Judges' Insight. Like all weapons.

I think it's all down to personal preference - as long as you like your weapon and can use the weapon effectively, it doesn't matter what the stats are.
